Bank of East Asia in Hong Kong: It has minted its own functional token Kudos and is trialling it internally
Hong Kong East Asia Bank (BEA) Information Technology Director and Financial Technology Development Director Leung Siu-yin revealed that the focus will be on generative AI and Web3.0 blockchain">blockchain technology. BEA has currently partnered with FORMS HK to pave the way for future development of related businesses using FORMS HK's "FINNOSafe Wallet" and "FINNOSafe Tokenized Asset Custody Service". Currently, BEA uses FINNOSafe to manage Kudos, a functional token that the team has self-minted on the blockchain, for an internal trial employee reward program. Leung Siu-yin also revealed that East Asia Bank launched the innovation platform "BEAST" last year, with 111 proof-of-concept (PoC) schemes, of which 30 have been implemented.
