Report: 99% of law enforcement officers surveyed reported the need for more encryption-related training
According to a TRM Labs, 99% of law enforcement officers say they need more training on encryption. The survey collected feedback from 300 law enforcement professionals worldwide, with 93% coming from US law enforcement agencies.
The survey found that 7 out of 10 respondents said that their cryptocurrency crime investigations are "very" or "extremely" complex, with 61% of respondents saying they lack sufficient tools or techniques to support the investigation itself accurately.
Additionally, 92% of respondents said that cooperation with private sector organizations such as cryptocurrency exchanges or blockchain analytics greatly increases the chances of a successful investigation. (Cryptonews)
