IOTA: ShimmerEVM will use LayerZero technology to enhance cross-chain functionality
IOTA Network developers have revealed that ShimmerEVM will add LayerZero cross-chain message passing technology to allow users to interact and trade across multiple networks. Shimmer is a blockchain within the IOTA ecosystem that will be launched in 2022, and ShimmerEVM is a part of Shimmer that allows developers to build applications and use features that are not yet available on the IOTA mainnet before transferring their applications to the mainnet. Currently, Shimmer Bridge supports Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Fantom, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
