The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has agreed to the request made by Do Kwon's lawyer to start his trial after extradition, but opposes separating his case from Terraform's case.

In a document submitted to the US Southern District Federal Court in New York on January 15th, the SEC stated that it is "prepared, willing and able to continue" the trial against Do Kwon, which was originally scheduled to begin on January 29th, but agreed to postpone the start date to no earlier than March 18th to accommodate Do Kwon's lawyer in handling his legal challenge to being extradited to the United States.

The document states: "The SEC agrees to Do Kwon's request for a moderate delay in the trial so that he can participate. If the trial date is postponed, the SEC cautiously requests that the trial begin on April 15, 2024."
