Paidun: The encryption field will suffer more than 600 major hacker attacks in 2023, causing losses of US$2.61 billion
PeckShieldAlert announced on social media that there were over 600 major cryptocurrency hacking attacks in 2023, resulting in approximately $2.61 billion in losses, with $674.9 million recovered. Among them:
· $1.51 billion was lost due to hacking attacks (excluding unauthorized withdrawals from Multichain)
· $1.1 billion was lost due to fraud
This data decreased by 27.78% in 2022. However, DeFi protocols are still the main targets, accounting for 67% of the total stolen value.
