Hui Ching-yu: All virtual asset service providers in Hong Kong need to submit license applications before the end of the month
Hong Kong's Financial Services and Treasury Bureau Secretary Christopher Hui Ching-yu stated that the one-year transition period for the virtual asset service provider (VASP) licensing regime in Hong Kong is coming to an end. All Hong Kong VASPs must submit a license application by February 29th of this year. Those who fail to submit an application by the deadline or receive a notice of "non-licensing" from the Securities and Futures Commission must terminate their business in Hong Kong.
