The U.S. Treasury Department once again proposes new cryptocurrency tax rules
According to Blockworks' report, the US Treasury Department has once again proposed a large number of tax rules related to digital assets, including banning money laundering transactions and imposing consumption tax on miners' electricity costs, in accordance with US President Biden's plan.
The Treasury Department released its 2025 tax proposal on Monday, called the "Green Book," outlining Biden's tax proposals in the budget released on Monday.
The proposals related to cryptocurrency are mainly a repetition of the 2023 presidential request, but they did not become law before.
