Flow has launched Crescendo Previewnet, introducing support for the equivalent EVM environment, enabling developers to build on Flow using EVM. The Flow team also stated that although Cadence provides some convenience for developers, it cannot leverage existing applications and tools on the Ethereum blockchain. Without EVM support, each multi-chain platform and product would need to be customized and integrated with Flow, which would slow down product development.
