Standard Chartered: Ethereum could top $14,000 next year as Bitcoin booms
Geoffrey Kendrick, Head of Foreign Exchange and Cryptocurrency Research at Standard Chartered Bank, stated that if an Ethereum spot ETF is approved, Ethereum could reach $8,000 by the end of this year and $14,000 by 2025. Kendrick also noted that Ethereum is currently between two important events that will drive up the price: 1. the expected approval of an Ethereum spot ETF by the US Securities and Exchange Commission this summer, and 2. the upgrade of the Ethereum network and the reduction of costs, making Ethereum more competitive. In another research report, Standard Chartered Bank stated that if the newly approved ETF continues to be popular, the price of Bitcoin could reach $150,000 by the end of this year.
