WEMIX: "Wemade plans to acquire a discontinued cryptocurrency wallet service operator" is false news
WEMIX has issued a fraud alert, revealing that someone has impersonated a member of Wemade or WEMIX Team, providing business cards and other items to approach users. In addition, the fraudsters falsely claimed that Wemade plans to acquire a cryptocurrency wallet service operator (Company B) that stopped operating in 2020. Subsequently, they fraudulently promised to compensate for the losses caused by Company B's cessation of service and requested personal information and assets, such as identity documents, phone numbers, and wallet addresses used for so-called reimbursements. The tokens sent by the impersonator for compensation were identified as tokens with no economic value. WEMIX reminds users to be particularly cautious to avoid any such losses.
