Matter Labs will cancel the payment of transaction fees for cross-chain funds from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet starting April 1
On March 28th, zkSync announced that Matter Labs, the developer of zkSync, will cancel the transaction fee for transferring funds from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet starting from 7:59 on April 1st. After this, users will need to initiate an additional transaction to claim funds on Ethereum when withdrawing funds from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet. The official statement indicates that as zkSync continues to decentralize, the network cannot rely on intermediaries to operate critical protocol mechanisms.
