Crypto Service Provider BTC.com Rebrands to Clover Pool after Nine Years
BTC.com, a leading multi-currency mining developer and pool operator, has rebranded to Clover Pool after nine years of delivering professional data services to blockchain enthusiasts.
As of today, September 23, the company will operate under its new name, unifying all its product offerings, such as its mining pool, block explorer, and crypto wallet, under the Clover Pool brand. According to an announcement on Medium, its future products and services will also be developed and marketed under the new identity.
Clover Pool to Expand Its Role in Crypto Mining
Under this new brand, the company plans to leverage its nearly decade of experience in the crypto mining sector to strengthen its presence within the industry by enhancing its operations and development efforts.
Additionally, the firm intends to significantly upgrade all its mining pools and explorers to incorporate more features to better service its customers globally.
Clover Pool already offers a series of mining pools for Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC), which were launched a year after its official debut in 2015. In May 2018, the company added mining pools for Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC).
These products will undergo a makeover in the coming months, offering crypto miners a more seamless and efficient experience.
Looking to the Future
The company noted that under its former brand, BTC.com, it dedicated significant resources to ensuring that miners had the best possible experience. The team focused on evolving its mining infrastructure, professionalizing the pool, and introducing new features like enhanced security and miner monitoring systems.
However, under the Clover Pool identity, the firm wants to redirect its focus on introducing other initiatives to expand its operations across different sectors within the crypto market. According to the announcement, the firm will venture into developing a hardware trading platform in the second half of next year.
The company said it plans to take mining to the next level with the upcoming launch of a hardware trading unit.
“Clover Pool mined over 469,552 bitcoin in the past nine years as BTC.com, and will not stop there, continue to specialize in mining software, and jointly the new hardware service to respond to challenges, and take mining to the next level,” said the company.
Clover Pool Unveils Promotional Initiatives
In celebration of the rebrand, Clover Pool has introduced a new reward program for customers using its products and services. The promotional activities include doubling referral rewards and offering discounts for miners, with full details available on the company’s official website.
This rebrand follows a trend in the crypto industry. In August 2024, MakerDAO announced that it had rebranded to Sky, introducing two new digital assets to replace its stablecoin and governance token. The two cryptocurrencies known as USDS and SKY will take the role of its predecessors DAI and MKR.
