DIA Launches Lasernet Testnet, Pioneering Layer-2 Oracle Technology
DIA has announced the launch of Lasernet, the first Layer-2 rollup specifically designed for oracle infrastructure, now live on the Ethereum testnet.
This solution addresses the increasing need for decentralized and scalable data delivery in blockchain applications, setting a new standard for oracle technology. Developers can now test pull- and push-based oracles on Ethereum’s Sepolia network in preparation for Lasernet’s mainnet debut, scheduled for Q1 2025.
To build Lasernet, DIA has collaborated with leading blockchain technologies to ensure scalability, interoperability, and efficiency. Optimism’s OP Stack provides the infrastructure for scalable on-chain oracle computations, maintaining trustlessness and data immutability.
Conduit simplifies rollup deployment and management, enhancing operational reliability. Hyperlane enables seamless interoperability across blockchain ecosystems, ensuring that oracle data is accessible on both EVM and non-EVM chains. Celestia’s data availability layer further enhances scalability by allowing DIA to store and batch large volumes of data on-chain. These partnerships position Lasernet as a versatile, blockchain-agnostic oracle solution capable of meeting the demands of decentralized applications and DeFi platforms.

Trump Plans to Appoint AI Czar to Oversee U.S. Artificial Intelligence PolicyDIA’s Layer-2 rollup approach represents a significant advancement in oracle infrastructure. By migrating oracle computations on-chain, Lasernet addresses longstanding challenges of decentralization, scalability, and cost efficiency. The architecture is designed for permissionless participation, enabling users to contribute data or deploy oracles. It also ensures trustless data processing through customizable, consensus-driven mechanisms while maintaining resistance to manipulation.
This testnet launch marks the first step in DIA’s broader vision for Lumina, a modular oracle stack aiming to create an open data layer for web3. DIA envisions a system where anyone can participate in data sourcing, deploy oracles, and access verified blockchain information without barriers. The mainnet launch of Lasernet is anticipated in early 2025, offering a transformative step for decentralized data delivery. Developers and blockchain enthusiasts are encouraged to explore the testnet and contribute to shaping the future of oracle technology.
