Mantle Network to Launch ZK Validity Rollup with Succinct SP1
On December 20th, modular L2 network Mantle announced a partnership with ZK proof-of-concept startup Succinct. In the first quarter of 2025, Mantle will launch a ZK Validity Rollup testnet through Succinct SP1, representing a shift from the current Optimistic Rollup model to the ZK Validity Rollup model. Mantle stated that "through ZK Validity Rollup, finality time can be shortened from 7 days to 1 hour, making Mantle Network economically closer to Ethereum L1, thus achieving better exchange market spreads, lower slippage, and better currency markets."
