Spot On Chain points out that the U.S. government has been authorized to sell 69,370 BTC (approximately $6.5 billion) seized from the dark web Silk Road. Please note that previous sales did not directly affect prices as they were completed through over-the-counter transactions, but market panic often leads to temporary price drops. Currently, the U.S. government holds about 197,000 BTC ($18.6 billion).
