El Salvador Buys 12 Bitcoin Despite IMF Deal to Dial Back Crypto Policies
Despite a deal with the International Monetary Fund to scale back its crypto policies, El Salvador has purchased 12 Bitcoin for its reserve in the past day. This includes 11 Bitcoin worth over $1 million for its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and 1 Bitcoin for $106,000. El Salvador's total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 6,044 BTC, worth over $617 million. The country's Bitcoin plans have not changed, despite the financing agreement with the IMF.
