Avalanche's December upgrade reduced transaction fees by 75% and transaction volume increased by 35%
PANews reported on January 30 that according to CoinDesk, since the Avalanche network implemented the Avalanche9000 upgrade on December 16, transaction fees have dropped by an average of 75% and transaction volume has increased by more than 35%. Flipside and Bitquery data show that Avalanche's current daily transaction volume has increased to about 354,000.
This upgrade includes seven improvement proposals, among which ACP-125 reduces the basic fee of C-Chain smart contracts from 25 nAVAX to 1 nAVAX, and adjusts the validator fee from 2,000 AVAX to a monthly subscription of 1-10 AVAX, lowering the entry threshold. Avalanche continues to optimize the DeFi ecosystem and attract more developers with its multi-chain architecture of C-Chain, P-Chain and X-Chain.
