Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau: Agreement reached with Trump to suspend additional tariffs for 30 days
On February 4th, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted on social media that Canada has reached an agreement with US President Trump to suspend the imposition of a 30% tariff on Canada for 30 days. Trudeau stated that Canada has agreed to deploy 10,000 frontline personnel at the border and will appoint a Fentanyl Czar, list drug trafficking groups as terrorists, and establish a joint US-Canada task force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering.
