Slow Mist Cosine: Cryptocurrency phishing gangs shift from showing off their technology to emotional manipulation
SlowMist's Yu Xian analyzed the differences between old and new cryptocurrency phishing groups. Traditional Crypto Drainers (such as Inferno/Angel/Monkey/Pink) mainly focus on technical display, covering multiple chain ecosystems such as ETH, Solana, and BTC; while the emerging CA launch-type phishing groups are more focused on emotional manipulation, mainly in the Solana ecosystem.
There are also differences in profit models: Crypto Drainers attract operating teams to spread through dividends, with commissions of up to 80%-90%; CA launch-type phishing groups usually earn about 100 SOL each time, but with higher frequency, mainly by creating FOMO emotions through black X numbers, imitation airdrops, and other methods.
