The Web3 blockchain game Champions Ascension, supported by a16z, announces temporary server shutdown
According to the official announcement, Web3 blockchain game Champions Ascension announced that its servers will temporarily shut down as the development team shifts focus to REACH Labs. This shutdown includes Champions Ascension servers and related features such as Imperial Expeditions and Dudo, effective last Friday. The announcement stated that technology developed for REACH Labs is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of Champions Ascension, although no specific timetable has been provided for its return. Despite the temporary suspension of the game, the team confirmed that KEYS rewards will still be distributed. It was introduced that REACH Labs is a new web3 game publisher established in collaboration with Rough House Games (creators of Champions Ascension) and Overworld. The goal of REACH is to enhance game publishing by integrating blockchain technology and community participation. In previous news, Champions Ascension completed a seed round financing of 32 million US dollars led by a16z Games and a16z Crypto.
