Today, the Tron memecoin sector recorded a significant growth of 16.7%, surpassing $94,5 million.

The 24-hour trading volume surged above $59 million, with top gainers including SunWukong, seeing a price surge of over 231% and FoFar during by more than 150%.

Other coins that surged include BULL which saw gains of over 54%, TBULL which surged by over 43% and SUNCAT, which recorded gains of over 30%, according to data from CoinGecko .

Tron Metrics on the Rise

The total 24-hour accounts on Tron are also on the rise today, seeing a surge of over 211%, surpassing 295,2 million.

Tron’s total transactions in 24 hours surged as well, topping 9,8 billion.

The total value locked on the Tron network is also up by over 2.5% today, surpassing $18.7 billion and the total transfer volume for 24 hours also surged significantly, seeing a rise above $17,2 trillion, according to data from Tronscan .

The remarkable increase in activity on the Tron network, comes following Sun’s announcement yesterday.

TRX is Coming to Solana

On March 18, Tron’s founder announced that TRX is on its way to launch on Solana.

TRX tokens on Solana will boost liquidity and user engagement for both projects.

Earlier today, Sun shared a post on X, highlighting optimistic predicitons regarding DeFi and memecoins with both sectors being poised for a surge.
