Solana hires renowned social app founder Nikita Bier as ecological advisor
Solana announced that Nikita Bier, the founder of social app tbh, has officially joined its team as an ecosystem advisor to assist in screening and promoting mobile application development. Bier currently also serves as a product growth partner at venture capital firm Lightspeed Ventures, which has invested in blockchain projects such as Solana.
Bier is a serial entrepreneur in the social field. His anonymous social app tbh, founded in 2017, was acquired by Meta. The similar app Gas he launched in 2023 was later acquired by Discord. He stated on social media platform X: "Solana already has the infrastructure for a mobile ecosystem explosion and several applications are making progress."
Raj Gokal, co-founder of Solana responded that the past year has been a critical stage for crypto consumption and mobile ecosystem development; their collaboration will accelerate technology integration. In recent years, Solana continues to layout on mobile: it launched the second-generation crypto phone "Solana Seeker" in September 2023 and supported popular Meme coin platform Pump.fun's mobile version launch in February 2025. This introduction of Bier indicates its further plan to expand into the mobile ecosystem.
