Optimism Grows for XRP ETF Approval After Ripple-SEC Legal Battle Resolved
Members of the cryptocurrency community are increasingly hopeful about the approval of an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) following the resolution of a long-standing legal dispute between Ripple and the SEC. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced on March 19 that the case had been settled, with the SEC dropping its appeal against Ripple. Nate Geraci, president of ETF Store, expressed confidence that an XRP ETF approval is imminent, suggesting that major asset managers like BlackRock and Fidelity could be involved. Additionally, users on the Polymarket platform are also predicting an 86% chance of an XRP ETF approval in 2025, although the odds drop to 42% before July 31. Despite the positive news, the price of XRP only saw a modest 5% increase following the end of the legal battle.
