How to Read PnL Analysis?
[Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins]
Understanding your Profit and Loss (PnL) Analysis is essential for evaluating your trading performance. Bitget’s PnL analysis is divided into three tabs: Account Analysis, Coin Analysis, and Trading Analysis, each offering unique insights into your trading activity.
What is PnL?
PnL, or Profit and Loss, is a way to track how much money you’ve made or lost from your cryptocurrency trading activities. It helps you understand your trading performance by breaking it into three simple parts:
1. Realized PnL: Profit or loss from trades you’ve already completed. For example, if you bought Bitcoin at $85,000 and sold it at $90,000, your profit is $5,000 minus fees.
2. Unrealized PnL: Potential profit or loss from coins you’re still holding. For instance, if you bought Ethereum at $3,000 and it’s now worth $3,500, your Unrealized PnL is $500.
3. Total PnL: The combined value of Realized and Unrealized PnL, showing your overall trading performance.
