Digital asset solutions provider BitGo and New York-based investment platform Republic are teaming up to democratize access to alternative investment opportunities. The partnership aims to offer individual investors access to investment products traditionally reserved for institutional and high-net-worth investors, the companies said in a press release. Republic will leverage BitGo’s infrastructure to strengthen its blockchain-powered investment ecosystem, bringing private market investments on-chain for ordinary investors. That includes the Hamilton Lane Private Infrastructure Fund, which Republic recently added to its platform. By tokenizing HLPIF, Republic is offering on-chain access to an asset class that was previously limited to traditional investors.
