During this interim period, internal leadership will oversee… In an X post on Tuesday, the company said that during the interim period, “internal leadership will oversee daily operations as we progress toward the migration to Zilliqa 2.0.” The Zilliqa team didn’t specify the reason for the leadership change but said a “long-term strategy for the company’s leadership” will be shared after the network’s transition. “We extend our gratitude for his contributions and wish him success in his future endeavours.” Zilliqa Dyer’s exit follows a difficult period for the company. In early February, Zilliqa identified a critical exploit on X-Bridge, a cross-chain bridge for transferring assets between BNB Chain and Ethereum . The exploit enabled the attacker to mint the Zilliqa-bridged versions of native currencies on Ethereum and BNB Chain without locking the corresponding amount of assets on these networks. Zilliqa responded by shutting down the relayer, pausing token manager contracts, and deploying new zETH and zBNB contracts. While that incident didn’t crash the ZIL ( ZIL ) token price immediately, it still contributed to its decline, with the token now down over 90% from its 2021 all-time high, per data from crypto.news’ price tracking page. Commenting on the latest transitionary move, the team said it remains focused on the network upgrade, adding that its “primary focus remains on the successful delivery of the enhanced Zilliqa 2.0 network, in alignment with our updated roadmap and timeline.”

SBI Holdings has refuted claims that it intends to sell a $100 million stake in its cryptocurrency trading subsidiary, B2C2. A report published by Bloomberg on April 8 claimed that SBI Financial Services, a unit of Japan’s SBI Holdings, was exploring a potential $100 million sale of a minority stake in its crypto market-making subsidiary B2C2. Citing anonymous sources familiar with the discussions, the article noted that SBI was in talks with several prospective buyers. However, according to Bloomberg, an SBI spokesperson denied the report, stating the company is not considering a sale. B2C2 also declined to comment on the matter. SBI Holdings initially acquired a minority stake in B2C2 in July 2020, investing $30 million to establish a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing its cryptocurrency services for millions of customers. By December 2020, SBI had fully acquired B2C2, positioning itself as the first major financial group to operate a digital asset dealing desk. Since the acquisition, B2C2 has expanded its presence in the cryptocurrency market. In August 2023, the firm acquired French market-making company Woorton, gaining regulatory licenses to operate within the European Union. This move was part of B2C2’s broader strategy to enhance its services and provide liquidity to institutional clients across Europe. SBI Holdings has been a significant player in the digital asset space, engaging in various initiatives to integrate cryptocurrencies into traditional financial services. The company has collaborated with blockchain firms and invested in multiple crypto-related projects, underscoring its commitment to the evolving digital economy.

The biggest misconception this entire season has been the 4-year cycle. Promising people the easiest way that literally everyone gets rich by just buying before the halving and selling after. Something that eternally works? Listen up, I'm a HEAVY believer in the future of this industry. As such I'm always a long term bull (don't confuse this with always being bullish in the short term). But to promise people the easiest trick in the book so that 99% can win by just buying and selling every 2 years was never going to hold up forever. The first 2 times it worked because there was no consensus yet and because it was exactly the first few times. This totally doesn't mean that it's over and hopeless. Irrelevant to the entire 4 year cycle the future holds promise. But it was never going to eternally move by the easiest trick in the book (the halving). Do you know I've literally met people in real that recommended others to wait a bit with buying but to do it exactly before the halving and then sell a short bit after? The market will mature and move on external factors. Macro being one of them yes. Along with liquidity injections like QE and with overall adoption (additional use cases). Crypto isn't early in terms of recognition anymore. But it's still extremely early as an industry itself. Make your analysis on other factors but please don't do it based on the 4 year cycle as that's what has gotten many people rekt. (and no I didn't foresee a crash of this magnitude this early either. But I was able to adapt earlier than most because I'm not a firm believer in the 4 year cycle to work eternally at all)
