Chainlink (LINK) seems to have taken a hit by the recent broad market liquidation as it has declined by 5% on its daily price chart to plunge below its crucial support level at $15. At press time, the asset was trading at $14.6 with a market cap of $9.6 billion. Meanwhile, its daily trading volume stages a 7% nosedive to reach $356 million. As outlined in our recent coverage, these declines were probably triggered by high sell-off concerns. Conversely to the overall market behavior, the asset continues to dominate in terms of user engagement as its social dominance significantly increases across all platforms. According to Santiment data , Chainlink’s discussion on social media has reached its highest point since October 2024. As discussed earlier, Chainlink has been on top of social metrics with our previous coverage highlighting the asset comfortably dominating in the Real World Assets (RWAs) category in terms of social mentions. Meanwhile, key whales and sharks with wallet sizes of between 10K to 10M have added 26 million more LINK since September 2024. Earlier, this analyst explained that LINK is trending within an ascending wedge structure after staging a rebound from the Fibonacci level of 0.786 ($13.55). When LINK was trading at $26, an analyst identified as Rose disclosed that the asset was “sitting” at an accumulation zone. At that time, Rose pointed out that a further drop to the $18-$20 range would act as another buying opportunity. 13 Days of accumulation below the $28 key level for $LINK. I have 2 possibilities for altcoins if BTC reaches low 70s: 1) Double bottom: Retesting their previous key levels they took during the dump on March 10 for the ones that had key levels hit and some might dump a but lower so they can reach their key levels. 2) Complete Blood Bath where altcoins go much much lower if BTC.D wants to take this 66% level reaching their much lower (even bear market) key levels where ETH might even dump to 1200$. Tbh feels ETH and altcoins are starting a new cycle while BTC is above 2021 high. @Wolfpekay said he thinks ETH might do very well next cycle but I think it's already here and with all the fuel ETH would be taking I think it's safe to assume ETH might really take off, maybe even pull a new ATH during the summer. Altcoins might even wick lower than their key levels so they can match major charts and then close above them to then retest the key levels before taking off
